Annual Lodge Sunday Service - Sunday 14th June 2009
The Worshipful Master, Officers and Brethren of Newbuildings Victoria Loyal Orange Lodge No.1087 would like to thank The City Grand Master, Officers of the City Of Londonderry Grand Orange Lodge, Brethren, Ladies, Junior Lodges and visitors that attended our 7th Annual Church Service that was held in Newbuildings Independent Methodist Church on Sunday 14th June 2009. Thanks to The Wor Bro Rev Jonathan Campbell & Wor Bro Rev Ivan Dinsmore for Officiating at the service and The Organist; Mrs Lynette McClay. During the service a collection was taken up in aid of Bro Richard Kincaid’s Appeal on behalf of Habitat for Humanity, the total collected was £346.53; Richard is going to India in August to assist in the building of 10 houses. Adam Dalzell and Mark Lecky members of Maghermason Boys Brigade assisted in taking up the collection, thanks also to them.
The parade was lead by The Churchill Flute Band under the direction of Wor Bro Trevor Stewart who we are most grateful for their attendance and attending the service in the church. Over 120 persons plus band members took part on the parade with approx 10 Brethren and Ladies attending the church service only. Thanks also to The PSNI for traffic control.
We thank members of Newbuildings Independent Methodist Church Congregation and outside visitors for attending the Church Service, in total approx 160 took part in the service which Wor Bro Rev Jonathan Campbell used the theme of The 1859 Revival in Ulster. Finally thank you to The Committee of Newbuildings Independent Methodist Church for the use of the church.
